Healthy Additions to Your Morning Yogurt

Yogurt is considered one of the super foods, it is rich in complete protein, healthy carbohydrates, probiotics, calcium, potassium, and moderate in glycemic effect, meaning its great for your blood sugar and insulin response. Yogurt is often recommended by most Nutritionists to help people stabilize their blood sugars for better energy and a healthier weight. I prefer the lower fat, certified organic, the plain or natural fruit flavor varieties. To add to its nutrition punch simply add some nuts/seeds, fruit and or dried fruit and a touch of cinnamon. You could even add some bits of dark chocolate for taste and health benefits. It will taste great with an extra punch of antioxidants and healthy protein and fats.
