A healthy relationship involves connecting with confidence. To help maintain that confidence as we age it is imperative that we do all we are able to support our cardiovascular wellness. This involves not only engaging in regular exercise, including both resistance training and endurance activities - but also requires that we maintain a healthy and balanced diet for better heart health. Therefore, keep the saturated fats in check, limit the added salt, eat plenty of plant foods, include more cold water fish 2-3 times weekly, and keep your calories in moderation. Other added foods to focus on are as follows, read on.

Adapt some Mediterranean eating patterns, such as including more extra virgin olive oil as either a regular staple part of your salad dressings and your ticker will appreciate it. The studies are overwhelmingly in support of the health protective benefits of this super oil. It is rich in mono-unsaturated fats and polyphenols shown to lower cholesterol, reduce inflammation and even enhance libido for better erections. Add 1-2 tablespoons daily of extra virgin olive oil for these benefits.

Another great way to pump up your libido, is to eat plenty of red colored fruits such as watermelon and or red grapes. Grapes are loaded with proanthocyanidins with studies showing potentials to elevate nitric oxide levels within the body. Nitric oxide is our bodies vasodilator, it expands the blood vessels which is great for vascular health, blood pressure and even better blood flow to the penis. Watermelon is known to be a good source of L-Citrulline, which is an amino acid precusor to L-arginine. Essentially these amino acids are well known to further enhance nitric oxide levels. These phytochemicals have been called a sort of natural Viagra, with effects that are more subtle in nature. They may potentially act as a safer option for mild erection issues.

Ultimately, if you harness the power of a healthy diet emphasizing certain super foods namely the red and purple fruits - your confidence to connect will likely persevere.
